Pay As You Go Websites - FAQ

  • What is a Custom Built Website?

A website designed and developed from scratch to meet specific client requirements. Unlike templates, custom-built websites are tailored to unique branding, functionality, and user experience needs.

  • What does "Mobile Responsive" mean?

A design approach that ensures a website functions and displays optimally on all devices, including smartphones, tablets, and desktops. It uses flexible layouts and scalable images to adapt to varying screen sizes.

  • What does "Fluid Typograpy mean?

A technique in web design where text size scales dynamically based on the screen width, ensuring readability and aesthetic consistency across different devices.

  • What are Pro Plugins and Themes (Premium Software)?

The integration of premium plugins and themes in a website to enhance its features and appearance. These professional-grade tools often offer advanced functionality, better security, and regular updates compared to free versions.

  • What is Hosting?

The service of storing a website on a server, making it accessible on the internet. Hosting typically includes server space, bandwidth, and related features like security and backups.

  • What's involved in "Website Maintenance"?

Ongoing services to ensure a website operates efficiently and securely. Maintenance tasks may include software updates, security checks, and content management.

  • What's included in the "Content Updates"

A service allowing clients to request a number of changes or additions to their website’s content on a monthly basis. Updates might include adding new images, changing text, or uploading blog posts.

Note: Content Updates do not roll over to the next month if not used.

  • What does "Support Turnaround" mean?

A commitment to address support queries or technical issues within “X” number of business days. This timeline ensures timely resolution while managing our workload effectively.

  • Do I own the website?

After completing six months of monthly payments, ownership of the website will be transferred to you. At that point, you may choose to continue with our hosting plan on a month-to-month basis or migrate your website to a new hosting provider.

We will provide you with the necessary access credentials or a downloadable copy of your website files to facilitate the migration.

If assistance with the migration is required, we can provide support at a rate of £25 per hour.

  • What happens if I cancel my monthly payments after 6 months?

We will reach out to discuss the process of migrating your website. Once the migration is complete, the following services will no longer be included: security maintenance, hosting, monthly content updates, and access to any premium software previously provided under our licenses.

Your website will continue to function; however, you will no longer receive updates for any premium software. Over time, this could expose your website to security vulnerabilities or compatibility issues, and certain features reliant on premium software may no longer function. Additionally, creating new content that depends on premium software may not be possible.

To mitigate these risks, you may choose to purchase your own licenses for the necessary premium software. If required, we will provide a list of recommended licenses along with links to acquire them. Please note that purchasing these licenses is optional.
